About Seller
History
INDAG Maschinenbau GmbH was founded by Martin Willuhn in 1953.
Back then, it all started with the internally geared displacement pump for moving viscous media developed by Martin Willuhn. Pumps and continuous mixers are manufactured specially for the food and chemical industries. The decisive expansion step was taken through the development of individual pumps and mixers into complete systems marketed under the protected brand name FlowMix®. In 2001, the company moved into a newly constructed building with production and office space. The company is still family-owned today, under the direction of owner Dipl.-Ing. Wilko Willuhn, son of Martin Willuhn. Our over 60 years of experience makes us one of today’s specialists in the area of dosing and mixing liquids. Our work in a wide range of industries gives rise to synergistic effects that are valuable in solving new and complicated problems. The development and production are based on the most advanced technologies. We rely on state-of-the-art CAD systems, extremely flexible manufacturing processes, advanced production plann
ing and logistics as well as integrated quality assurance processes. And we are constantly at work to improve these standards. Our quality philosophy includes all areas of the company, from product development to the purchasing of materials and from manufacturing to marketing, sales and service.
Location
Our Borsfleth plant site is located in beautiful Schleswig-Holstein between the Stör and the Elbe rivers in the most northern part of Germany.
Borsfleth is a small town in the vicinity of Glückstadt, the second largest city in the Steinburg district. Glückstadt is situated directly on the Lower Elbe and, like Borsfleth, belongs to the Hamburg metropolitan region. Even outside of the region, Glückstadt is primarily well-known for its tradition-rich production of matie (soused herring). An additional regional attraction is the Elbe ferry at Glückstadt–Wischhafen, which connects Schleswig-Holstein with Lower Saxony.
Hamburg is our close neighbouring city and can be quickly reached in approximately 40 minutes drive via the A23 autobahn.
Guiding principles
We see ourselves as an independent, medium-sized enterprise with the following guiding principles:
- All our activities are focused on our customers, or respectively, the end consumer. Our customers have a right to dependability and, above all else, uncompromisingly high quality.
- As a company, we strive to provide our services while avoiding waste of any resources.
- We have the greatest trust in our employees, in particular, in regards to their expertise and enthusiasm in performing their tasks. We endeavour to create an atmosphere in which the work is more than just a way to earn the “daily bread”.
- As a company operated exclusively by its owners, we are always open to new ideas and are constantly ready to take calculable risks.
Certification
We have been tested and certified by the German TÜV (technical-supervision body) since 2005. On both the national and international level, the DIN EN ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System is considered the ideal proof of competence and capability.
The following is included within the framework of the ISO 9001 certification:

- Interdisciplinary co-operation.
We had already received TÜV certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 in May 2017, after which the re-certification with surveillance audit took place in April 2020 and further confirmed continuance of and compliance with the fundamentals of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard.
