Mills are a type of plant used in the food industry. They grind raw input materials smaller. They are used for processing grains, meat, fish, poultry, sugar, dairy products, vegetables, fruit, nuts, etc. In the meat-packing industry they are used to produce minced meat, pâtés, and inputs for sausages. They make products more homogeneous and improve their solubility, while still preserving the nutritional properties. Some milling devices can be equipped with heating elements for sterilizing the product mass during the grinding process.
