Destoners

Destoners serve as a tool to remove any refuse, bits of soil or clay, branches, etc. from the products. They are often used when working with potatoes, beets, onions, carrots, and other root vegetables, as well as vegetables that grow on or near the ground, also used for coffee beans after roasting. Mechanical destoning devices perform this cleaning process by means of vibration combined with an intense water flow and special rubber rolls. Washing of agricultural products, whether before they are sold or before they undergo further processing, is usually carried out in an auger with a water tank, where the fruits and vegetables are rinsed and cleansed of any impurities. A vacuum can be used for separating tiny stones from coffee, as well as other specialized separation techniques.
