Destoners

Destoners are a type of machine used in the food industry. They serve to remove any refuse, bits of soil or clay, branches, etc. from food products. They are used when working with potatoes, beets, onions, carrots, and other root vegetables, as well as with vegetables that grow on or near the ground, and also coffee beans after they are roasted. Mechanical destoning devices perform this cleaning process by means of vibration and special rubber rolls. Washing of agricultural products, whether before they are sold or before they undergo further processing, is carried out in devices with water tanks where the fruits and vegetables are rinsed and cleansed of any impurities. For separating tiny stones from coffee, specialized producers often use vacuum equipment.
