Vogelsang develops solutions that are individually tailored to the technical requirements of each sector. Established products include the elastomer-coated rotary lobe pump, which was invented by Vogelsang in 1970 and has been continuously developed ever since. Today, for example, it is used in biogas plants and sewage treatment plants, on tankers in the agriculture sector, in vacuum disposal for trains, buses and ships, and in an ever increasing range of industries. With the invention of the dribble bar linkage and the precision distributor, Vogelsang has played a major role in modern liquid manure spreading technology. Numerous other solutions, such as application-specific shredding technology, and intensive research and development work ensure the company a technological advantage that make Vogelsang one of the technology and market leaders in many segments.
Vogelsang’s customers include agricultural enterprises, rail and bus companies, biogas plant operators, many industrial companies, municipalities and agricultural engineering manufacturers, as well as shipping companies and shipyards.
Vogelsang has been growing continuously, particularly since the 1990s. At present, the mid-sized, innovative family business employs almost 1,000 people worldwide. Today, the Essen/Oldenburg site alone employs 700 people, manufacturing Vogelsang products with the help of modern, CNC-controlled production machines on 20,000 square meters of hall space.
In line with its mission statement “Engineered to work”, Vogelsang ensures the highest production quality through its research, development and manufacturing operations at its location in Germany. As an international company, Vogelsang also operates manufacturing centers domestically and abroad. A continuously growing network of subsidiaries and representatives allows Vogelsang to be present in more than 25 locations worldwide, in all European countries and important industrialized nations in the world. In 2018, Vogelsang had a turnover of 112 million euros.

It is for this very reason that many of our developments in the fields of pump, maceration, spreading and biogas technology are today leading products on the global market.
