TS was founded in the 70s in Bologna, an important center for the development of Packaging in Italy, and took its first steps mainly in the horticultural sector (seeds), where it soon reached the share of leader in the Italian market, and in the coffee sector. .

The machines dedicated to these sectors are semi-automatic filling machines that package the product starting from pre-formed bags.
Subsequently, with the design and production of FFS machines (Form, Fill & Seal), TS, thanks to its previous experience, also enters strongly in the food, chemical and cosmetic sectors where competition is fierce. In the 90s, therefore, to satisfy the most disparate requests, machines designed specifically for the customer were also designed and produced, but outside the logic of the standard.
In 2007, the turning point: TS was acquired by Robino & Galandrino S.p.A. of Canelli, in the province of Asti, already a world leader in the wine technology sector, with a staff of more than 110 employees and a total area of ​​15,000 m2.
In 2009, after the definitive transfer to Canelli, TS became part of Robino & Galandrino S.p.A. (formerly part of the I.G.T. Group) as its own division; therefore in 2010 there are 2 divisions: the “Oenology” division and the “Packaging” division.
Robino and Galandrino S.p.A. - TS Packaging Division, design reviews all the machines produced until then and decides to improve them making them more competitive on the market, thanks to the huge amount of experience in engineering.
But not only; innovative systems for flexible packaging are designed both from preformed bags (FS fill & Seal, automatic carousel fillers) and starting from reels, HFFS (Horizontal Form, Fill & Seal).
Today, Robino & Galandrino S.p.A. - TS Packaging Division supplies its customers with complete lines for product packaging or for the production of small batches of flat, stand-up or shaped bags.
Confirming the extraordinary growth of the company, thanks to the collaboration with Hosokawa Yoko, a Japanese company leader in the oriental market for the supply of films and envelopes, the Corner Zip® project is created: an accessory that, inserted in the upper corner of the envelope, offers considerable advantages in opening and closing the bag and in dosing and maintaining the product itself.
