Giant lifter-dumper Backsaver GLT

The Backsaver GLT lifting/dumping machine is designed to fill process equipment such as injectors, tumblers, surge hoppers and elevated belt conveyors. The GLT machine is equipped with a van Oirschot specialty lift-and-tip system that makes it possible to raise and dump any type of large bin — including a special bin, Dolav bin, container, bulk box or octabin, pallet box or crate — more safely and easily than ever before. With its twin or triple hydraulic cylinders, chain-free operation and compact size, it’s a star performer that needs little maintenance.

Enhanced productivity and safety

This machine is designed to be installed at specific locations for emptying operations. A palletized box or crate of product is loaded onto the lifter with a pallet jack or forklift. The load is then raised to the desired height in a smooth motion. Because manual lifting, crouching and bending are no longer necessary, the risk of back pain, strain and injury is reduced. Healthy personnel are happier, more efficient and productive, and throughput is maximized. Upon request, this machine can also be built for automatic lifting and dumping operations.

Operational safety and flexibility

Like other Backsavers, this machine is driven by twin or triple hydraulic cylinders that use gravity for the lowering action. So, it’s very safe because it significantly reduces the risk that its moving parts might incur bodily injury. For even greater safety, it features an audible backup signal and a flashing LED beacon light that warn others about parts in motion, ensuring extra attention during operation. The machine is also equipped with safeguard fences for greater safety. It can be customized for left, right or front installation.

Hygiene and food safety

Backsavers are developed especially for the food industry. They are safe to operate and suitable for direct contact with food products. These machines are stainless steel for easier cleanups and wash-downs making it possible to use power washers. GLT has been engineered, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands since 1980s.
