In the brewery, yeast technology and beverage industires, often only a moderate hygienic design is sufficient and a higher sterile standard can be renounced. For higher sterile requirements you should choose the PROREACT P series.
Smaller PROREACT B fermenters are used in laboratories and pilot plants of research institutes and industrial companies for process development and scale-up or -down. In production these units serve as seed stages for the cultivation of microorganisms within a fermenter line (see also PROREACT B production bioreactors and PROREACT “Seed Train”).
INDIVIDUAL CONFIGURATION THROUGH MODULARITY
The fermenters on a scale of 10 L – 1,000 L are individually configured to customer requirements on the basis of modular components. The basic module comprises a rack in “open frame” design with
- Pressure vessel -1 – 3 bar with double jacket or “pillow plates” made of stainless steel 1.4301 and 1.4404
- Surfaces in contact with the product Ra ≤ 0.8 μm
- FRIBORATOR / TRG aeration apparatus
- Mechanical foam centrifuge FOAMEX
- Supply lines with filter for mechanical seals
- Fittings according to DIN 11851 and DIN 11864
- Peristaltic pumps for the delivery of substrates and positioning agents
- Air filter
- Condensate lines
- Sensors and field devices
- Central control unit with SIEMENS SPS and touch panel
OPTIONS AND EQUIPMENT
Optionally available are e.g.
- integrated, autonomous CIP circuit
- Steam generator installed in the frame
- Membrane modules for biomass retention
- Further media supplies
- Exhaust gas analysis with RQ control
- Equipment for repeated fed batch operation
- and many other modules and process equipment
The smaller units are mounted on rollable stainless steel frames. Larger pilot reactors are designed as “package units”. All of them have in common that the complete start-up can be carried out in the manufacturing plant and therefore a minimum of assembly and commissioning effort is required at the installation site.
SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE FRINGS PROREACT FERMENTERS
These are on the one hand the multiple configuration and extension possibilities and on the other hand the outstanding quality. The materials and components used for the hydraulic and automation parts are comparable to those used in industrial plants and guarantee trouble-free operation for decades.
In addition, the special design allows easy scale-up of fermentation results to large scale.
