Butter Silo Unit

The silo mainly acts as a buffer zone for the freshly produced butter between the continuous butter making machine or the butter reworker system and the butter packaging equipment.

This traditional butter silo is equipped with augers - type BBA - is designed for the full range of butter consistency - for firm as well as soft types of butter with focus on reduced water, chemical and heat consumption, thus reducing the volume of waste and cost generated by the CIP process.

The GS butter silo is essential for a flexible continuous butter making process as it is needed for buffering butter between a GS continuous butter machine, a GS butter reworker system and e.g. butter packaging equipment. SPX supplies two different types of GS butter silos:

• The butter silo with pressing plate - type BBP
