ASM 1U/ECO - Shirring Machine

The ASM 1U Shirring Machine has been designed for half- automatic or automatic discontinue shirring of the all kinds of artificial sausage casings (plastic, fibrous and collagen) using a two shirring rolls with blades. Can be equipped as well as for netting and clipping of shirred casings into shirred sticks. The machine can be adapted for processing of casings from diameter 40 up to 90 mm like a standard. Accessory equipment is available for outside moistening and oiling of the casings. Control of the machine operation is limited to replacement of disks with casings and collecting of shirred sticks. The shirring process is powered by a set of electrical and pneumatic elements (SMC).

The disk with casing is fixed on the unwinding part with a detector which stops the machine when the whole length of casing on the disk has been unwind off. The band of the casing is guided through metering rollers into an inlet mandrel where, due to press air, it is inflated and transferred to the shirring rolls. Shirred casing is advanced onto one mandrel where a cutting mechanism cuts it off as soon as the preset length has been reached. After is the casing is relocated to the pressing mechanism, where it is pressed together and then is slid over to the netting and clipping mechanism (if are in equipment) . Finished shirred sticks are collected on a discharge desk.

In case of any failure the machine is automatically stopped and a programmable PLC automatic (LENZE) indicates the faulty element. The machine can be is fully-equipped, with clipping machine and with netting equipment.
